Torrevieja, a town that lives all year round
- The seafront on foot: from Acequión beach, right by the harbour, to Playa del Cura and the Los Locos cove, the promenade runs along the sea for several kilometres.
- The harbour and the Levante breakwater: the long breakwater is the locals' favourite sunset walk. In the harbour you can visit two floating museums: the S-61 Delfín submarine and the Albatros III patrol boat.
- The pink lagoons: the La Mata and Torrevieja lagoons natural park is home to flamingos. Swimming is strictly forbidden (protected area and working salt pans): you admire them from the marked trails or on a guided tour of the salt works.
- Summer music: every summer, the International Habaneras Contest brings to life the sung tradition the town is famous for.
- A mild winter: thanks to the climate and shops that stay open all year, Torrevieja is ideal for a long winter stay.

Torrevieja FAQ
Can you swim in Torrevieja's pink lake?
No. Swimming and mud baths are forbidden: it's a protected natural park and the salt pans are still worked. You can, however, walk the marked trails, watch the flamingos or book a guided tour of the salt works.
Do you need a car in Torrevieja?
Not necessarily. From our town-centre apartment, the beach, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. From Casa Lagunas Mirasal, 3.5 km from the beach, a car is more convenient.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, at Casa Lagunas Mirasal, which welcomes both small and large dogs. Pets are not allowed in the town-centre apartment.
Is Torrevieja pleasant in winter?
